Board Reorganizes Once Per Year

Redmond, Wash. – Clara Barton Elementary in Redmond has been recognized as a National School of Character. This is the second time Clara Barton Elementary has been recognized with this award.

Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that two Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarships:

Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that eight Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Fifty students were selected statewide for these awards. 

Lake Washington High School (LWHS) welcomed the foremost leader of the country’s public schools to its campus on Friday, June 9. Alongside U.S. Rep. Suzan DelBene (WA-01), the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, visited LWHS to learn more about the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings.

In a rapidly changing world, where the challenges faced by our youth seem to grow by the day, the role of mentorship has become increasingly vital.

Two schools in Lake Washington School District were recognized as 2022-23 Sustaining Green Schools by King County Green Schools in June.
