Redmond, Wash. – Clara Barton Elementary in Redmond has been recognized as a National School of Character. This is the second time Clara Barton Elementary has been recognized with this award.

Redmond, Wash. – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced today that eight Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Fifty students were selected statewide for these awards.

Leo Goldfarb, a rising sixth grade student at Thoreau Elementary School, finished first in the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Missing Children’s Day poster contest. On top of that, her entry received second place nationally.
Lake Washington High School (LWHS) welcomed the foremost leader of the country’s public schools to its campus on Friday, June 9. Alongside U.S. Rep. Suzan DelBene (WA-01), the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, visited LWHS to learn more about the school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings.
