Lights, camera and action! Diya Modi, sophomore at Nikola Tesla STEM High School, spent two full months of eight-hour days filming a movie. The end result? Being the lead character in a film that premiered to a sold-out audience at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) in mid-May.

Two students from Eastlake High School (EHS) are in for the experience of a lifetime this summer. Maanit Goel and Venus Aradhya, both EHS juniors, were recently selected for the primary NASA internship for high school students across the United States.

More than 800 students across the country sent proposals for the Genes in Space contest. Alexander Mihalcea, Eastlake High School junior, was one of just 30 semifinalists selected nationwide who contributed to an outstanding proposal.
