Leo Goldfarb, a rising sixth grade student at Thoreau Elementary School, finished first in the Washington State Patrol (WSP) Missing Children’s Day poster contest. On top of that, her entry received second place nationally.

Ellie Peterson spent 20 years as teacher. She is using that experience to write picture books that have a focus on science. Peterson visited the first and second graders of Carson Elementary on May 4.
There were eggs falling from the sky at Alcott Elementary leaving yolk and shells on the outdoor basketball court.
Students at McAuliffe Elementary School set out to collect food for families in need. They wanted to find a unique time to collect food that wasn’t during the holidays when many others are donating at the same time.
